Kate Gosselin won’t quit the Dancing with the Stars reality TV series on ABC.

Kate Gosselin won’t quit Dancing with the Stars. The single mother is dealing with a lot right now. She has a custody battle with her ex-husband, providing for her eight children, and the judges aren’t giving her any leeway.

“I can’t put my life aside and dance for six hours a day,” she said in a statement. “It’s not my lack of ability, but lack of presence. I struggle with this every day.”

Gosselin, 35, also said she has the determination to keep moving on. She isn’t giving up despite harsh criticism each week from the “DWTS” judges. Moreover, her ex-husband, Jon Gosselin, has filed a motion seeking primary physical custody of their eight kids.

She is facing a lot of scrutiny on and off the stage. There is also the drama that keeps unfolding behind the scenes. However, the TV reality show’s co-host has come out to defend Kate.

“It’s really interesting. I haven’t seen anything from Kate other than loveliness and happiness and kindness,” Brooke Burke said in a statement. “I think she’s really frightened, and she’s going through a lot of stress on the show. I want her to pull through this and succeed, I really do. I want her to conquer this for her own self as a woman and as a mother.”

Jon Gosselin is Kate’s ex-husband. He is known for his appearances with their eight children on the “Jon & Kate Plus 8″ reality TV series on “TLC.”

In June 2009, Jon announced on the show that the couple was separating. Divorce proceedings began soon after. Jon began looking for a new apartment in New York City, reportedly visiting Donald Trump-owned Trump Place in Manhattan’s Upper West Side.

He has stated that it is Kate, who wanted the divorce. Kate claims that she filed legal proceedings because of Jon’s activities. Jon confirmed Kate’s by noting it was his wife that made the first legal move.

Speculation rose that Jon’s relationship with Hailey Glassman was the cause for the divorce. Glassman denied the speculation, saying that her relationship with Jon began only after Jon and Kate had been separated. Jon asked that the divorce be delayed for 90 days over regret.

Glassman broke up with Jon about a week later. Jon’s apartment had been burglarized in December 2009. The damage was estimated at $100,000.

A note signed by Hailey Glassman was found speared in Gosselin’s dresser with a knife. Police questioned her about the crime but did not file any charges against her. Glassman did admit that she took her old television during on the day the burglary occurred.

Dancing with the Stars is a reality TV show on ABC. It is hosted by Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke. The show debuted in June 2005.

The two-hour seasons started in the fall of 2006. The show is currently in its tenth season. Celebrities and professional dancers are paired up for the dancing contest each season.

The contestants reveal new styles of dance each week. They can receive up to 10 points from each judge and votes from TV viewers at home. Dancing professionals appear on multiple seasons and with different partners.

The show airs on Monday and Tuesday nights. The couples perform their dances on Monday night after having the previous week to learn and rehearse. The audience and viewers at home will then be eligible to vote either by phone or online.

The votes are then totaled and the percentage is added to the percentage of the total awarded points by the judges. The contestants with the lowest total percentage will be sent home the following night. This will be continued until the finals when the top three will compete.
