Haiti’s Prime Minister Jean-Max Bellerive has been up in arms about the group of Americans who tried to bring 33 Haitian Children back home with them. The Haitian children in question are aged 2 Months to 12 Years.

10 members of an American church group have been detained by Haitian authorities for allegedly attempting to take 33 children out of the country. The kids are aged 2 months to 12 years, and they were taken without proper verification of their identity and status so that many of them were not actually orphans and still had family they could be with in Haiti. A member of the church group said “God wanted us to come here to helpchildren; we are convinced of that, Our hearts were in the right place.”

Haiti’s Prime Minister Jean-Max Bellerive at first called the church group “kidnappers” who “knew what they were doing was wrong,” but later conceded that the group of Americans was probably just misguided and did mean well, though their actions went horribly wrong.
