Gabourey Sidibe will get to try her hand at television and comedy as the host of SNL.

The actress who quickly became a favorite after her debut in the heartbreaking and inspiring film “Precious” by Lee Daniels, had never even done much acting before, but showed incredible gifts and presence, and is widely considered a breath of fresh air for Hollywood. And her many interview appearances have shown she is just as charming in real life as she was on the screen, and should have a great career ahead of her.

This will be Gabby’s first shot at showing off her comedy chops, and we hope she passes the test with flying colors! I wonder if they will have a musical number with Samberg lined up. Hopefully they don’t do any skits that involve Kenan dressed in drag, please, enough already.
