Deadliest Catch Emotional Hell

Deadliest Catch, the Discovery Channel’s most popular show and franchise had a dispute that led to a lawsuit and that caused a rough trip off the waters described as an “emotional hell” by Johnathan Hillstrand, one of the stars of the show.

It was revealed by EW.Com in September that Discovery sued two of the stars of its popular Deadliest Catch series in a $3 million breach of contract suit.

The company claimed that crab-fisherman brothers Johnathan and Andy Hillstrand failed to complete all the necessary work on a Deadliest Catch spin-off special called Hillstranded and were refusing to sit for follow-up interviews for the show.

As a result, they quit.  Now it appears settled and they are back on board.

A CNN report reveals both sides came to an agreement and now the Hillstrands and “Northwestern” Captain Sig Hansen are signed for two more years of “Catch.”

CNN has more and adds in “Hillstranded” — which will air after “Deadliest Catch” debuts in April 2011 — the siblings will investigate myths and legends around Alaska.
