Best and Worst Commercials Ever

The Super Bowl Commercials always create a fever pitch for the advertising world. We have already discussed our best superbowl commercials for 2011, but what about the best commercials of all time? Better still…what about the best and worst commercials ever.

The best commercials ever tend to be those that make us laugh – each and every time we watch them. It is never really so much about the product as it is about the commercial itself. Some commercials are just utterly timeless, not to mention hilarious. The worst commercials however, those that just make you cringe, are usually not funny, sometimes insensitive (Groupon + Tibet) or just downright boring. They can be a huge waste of money for the companies concerned…or perhaps not if we remember them, right?
Best and Worst Commercials Ever

Out of the horrific amount of commercials we are subjected to on a daily basis, here are my top contenders for the best and worst commercials ever.
Best Commercials Ever:

1. Nolans Cheddar – Just beautiful. Winner of the award for best commercial of 2010. The suspense, the emotions, the cheese…mmmm.

2. Soesman Language Training – WARNING NSFW. This is just brilliantly funny, don’t you think?

3. Geico Two In The Bush – This one, along with all the other Geico Commercials in this series, made me laugh hard. The simplicity of the joke made it a winner in my eyes.

4. E*TRADE BABY – Ok, so this one makes the list as it is recent in my mind, but still. You gotta love it!

5. Dairy Milk Gorilla – Another classic commercial. Have you seen this one before…it might be the best commercial ever!
Worst Commercials Ever:

1. Montgomery Flea Market -- There are quite a few commercials like this, but you have to agree, this one is terrible!

2. Levi’s 501 – The 1988 style is not doing it for me and I make this a contender for the worst commercial ever made.

3. Toyota Corolla – I challenge you to find a more irritating commercial than this one. Truly awful indeed.

In fact, I challenge you to submit your best and worst commercials ever. I think that this could create a healthy discussion as there are always differing opinions on best and worst topics.
