The show ‘24′ halted filming when Kiefer Sutherland (Jack Bauer) started feeling really awful.

The Fox show cannot keep filming until he recovers from surgery for a ruptured cyst.

Sutherland is sad to be in good condition and set for a full recovery, but the operation will delay the TV show for some time. A ruptured cyst happens commonly for women when it is an ovarian cyst, but can happen to men as well. Kiefer’s ruptured cyst occurred near his kidney and needed immediate attention.

According to his representatives, “While Kiefer Sutherland is frustrated to miss even one day of work, he and Fox decided together that it would be best to complete this minor elective procedure now as a precaution as opposed to six weeks from now when production wraps…” Here’s wishing him the quickest of recoveries!
