Will Yao Ming’s baby be as tall as his father? Will he be another Chinese basketball all-star?

Yao Ming baby news, the wife of Yao Ming, the Houston Rockets’ All-Star center, is pregnant.  E Canada Now reports that Yao and his wife Ye Li have been married for over two years and are very excited about the chance to have their first child.

How tall will the baby grow?  The wife Ye is 6 ft. 2 in. tall while Yao is 7 ft. 6 in. tall.  With the news, people from China are “Rushing to predict Baby Yao’s height and gender in the hopes that the child will someday lead the national basketball team,” reports China Daily.

I would guess he/she would be at least 6 ft 10 in, but you never know with genetics.
