Take a look at this hit from yesterday’s Patriots vs Steelers game. I apparently wasn’t watching the TV when this hit took place. It was a real dirty hit on Wes Welker and he didn’t even catch the ball.

Apparently safety Ryan Clark wanted to take out some aggression in the game. Even though they were winning the game. They called unnecessary roughness for “an unnecessary hit on a defenseless receiver”. What was ironic was the commentators had been commenting earlier in the game on how tough Wes Welker is.

I have nothing against Wes Welker, but not many people could “stay tough” after that hit. I just was shocked it wasn’t Troy Polamalu that made the big hit, cause he usually is the one that gives out the punishment.
