Ron Santo Hall of Fame Entrance Denied
Ron Santo only got 39 votes when he needed 48 to get entrance into the Hall of Fame. You need 75 percent of the vot to get into the Hall of Fame. Ron Santo was a third baseman who won five golden gloves for fielding exellence. He played most of his career for the Chicago Cubs, then played his last year for the White Sox. He had his number 10 retired. The veterans commitee did select one candidate for entrance this year. Joe Gordon, a nine-time All-Star second baseman for the New York Yankees and Cleveland Indians, was the only player elected.
