OJ Simpson Sentencing

O.J. Simpson had his sentencing today, and Judge Jackie Glass sentenced O.J. and co-defendant C.J. Stewart to as much as 33 years in prison for armed robbery and kidnapping. Because the Judge uses concurrent and consecutive sentencing, even many attorneys watching the case were confused as to how much time Simpson got. He could get off for parole in nine years.

Simpson apologized before the sentencing and told Judge Glass he was sorry about trying to retrieve memorabilia. His lawyer tried to get him the minimum sentence of 6 years for the crime. It seems after all the controversy, Simpson will finally be going to prison, although not for the murder of Nicole Brown. It’s not the justice he deserves, but at least the judge didn’t give him the minimum sentence.
