Hansbrough Breaks Record
Against Evansville on Thursday night, Tyler Hansbrough only needed 9 points to break the all-time scoring record and North Carolina. The college basketball star broke the record handily. Previous holder Phil Ford took a playful bow, then gave Hansbrough a hug in celebration. This was a 30 year old mark that Hansbrough broke, and the season isn’t even close to over. On top of that fact, Tyler is only 467 points behind ACC all-time scoring leader J.J. Redick who played at rival Duke. Tyler would only have to average about 23 points a game, he is currently averaging 22 point per game. Plus, given the fact they will most likely make the NCAA tournament he could have up to another additional six games. Hansbrough should have a fairly good shot at breaking the ACC record.
