It’s sad to see Brett Favre go out like Jordan and Magic Johnson. He came back cause he couldn’t give up the game he loved. In doing so, he didn’t go out at the top, or even close to it. The Jets missed the playoffs and he only had a few games where he shined. His fans and even rivals respect him, and hopefully his last hoorah doesn’t tarnish his long lasting image too bad. I’m pretty sure this time Favre means it for good. Unlike basketball it isn’t as easy to come back 2 or 3 times to give it another try. Your joints and bones ache and those hits from all of the years take their tolls I’m sure. I’ll always remember Favre as a Packer and one of the best quarterbacks, and the last of the “great NFL generation” (Montana, Elway, Marino) to play the game.
