The former football hall of famer and ESPN college football analyst Bob Griese has been suspended due to a remark about NASCAR driver Juan Pablo Montoya. When his co-analyst Chris Spielman asked “where” Juan was and why he didn’t show up in the Top 5, Bob Griese said Juan was out “having a taco”. Due to this Bob Griese was suspended. Some view the remarks as harmless, while others take note of Juan’s ethnicity and assume Bob intended it as a form of a racial slur. Bob Griese has apologized for the incident but has still been suspended for one week.
