All across sports nation, everyone is ready for the BCS national championship game.

There is no dispute that Texas and Alabama belong here. After the way Boise State, Cincinnatti and TCU showed that they are not dominate powerhouses. The playoff argument was shot down when neither Boise nor the Horned Frogs could score at will against one another.

Colt McCoy needs to come out strong in this one for Texas to win. He needs to avoid turnovers and sacks such as when he played Nebraska. If his offensive line can hold Terrence Cody and the Bama defense at bay, then he will show that he should have been the Heisman winner.

The keys for Bama should be establishing the run and keeping the pressure of the game off of McElroy’s shoulders. If Texas shuts down Ingram and the running game, look for McElroy to throw at least two interceptions.

This should be an excellent matchup, the BCS Championship starts at 8 pm ET/ 7 pm CST.
