13-Year-Old and USC
Are college coaches just recruiting guys younger and younger? Well USC has already received a commitment from a 13-year-old player.
David Sills, the boy who verbally committed can throw the ball 30 yards accurately, which is not a very big feat. Funny thing is, USC didn’t ask for his commitment. This is a classic example of a kid trying to create some media hype for himself to go along with his “not even 5 star rated” You Tube video.
Yes, you could say that we are giving him attention right now, but only because he is the first one to do such a bizarre pr stunt. You can guarantee the next kid who does this won’t even get noticed. Besides this teenager is playing for a tiny school against weak competition, were not talking division 5A here. He is in a small private school called Red Lion Christian Academy in Delaware. If he were playing 5A in Texas, Florida or California then we could talk seriously about his abilities.
To all the young kids reading this out there, if you want to get noticed by college scouts, play high school football, dominate and put together a great video reel.
Simple as pie.
