Woman Steals Girl Scout $92

Woman Steals Girl Scout $92Who would steal a Girl Scout’s cookie money for a measly $92? Well, no one in their right mind would do it. After all, Girl Scout Cookies have been a long-standing tradition in the United States for over 80 years.

It was Vanessa Bergeron, 7, and her mother’s first year to take part in the Girl Scout cookies’ fundraiser for their troop. Missy, her daughter, and another Girl Scout set up a table at Military Trail and PGA Boulevard in a shopping center. Innocent and harmless right? Wrong!

Missy Bergeron explained what occurred when the woman stole $92 from the Girl Scouts, “I went over to her car and I had the box of cookies like this and I was counting out the money. She took the money and was acting like she was going to go in her purse, and she gassed the car and, like, almost ran me over.”

Bergeron explained that the Girl Scout cookie thief drove off in a “maroon four-door older model Honda drove off with $92 in cash.” She explained that she would have kindly given the woman some money if she had asked, but she didn’t

Bergeron state, “I would’ve given her a couple dollars out of my own money, but to rob from two little girls like that, you really have some issues.” Most likely, the woman was a druggie, and all she could think about was her next hit. If she wanted to get high, she didn’t care that she stole the Girl Scouts’ cookie money.

Bergeron called the police, and then WPBF 25 News interviewed the Girl Scouts and their mom. After hearing what happened to the cookie money, Mike David and his wife, Hollis decided to donate $100 to the Girl Scout’s fundraiser.

Davis stated, “We just thought it was so ridiculous that someone would come out here and do something like this to the Girl Scouts,” Mike Davis said. “We just felt like it was the right thing to do.”

See? There are nice people in the world that don’t steal cookie money from innocent Girl Scouts. Hopefully, someone will “pay it forward” back to Mike and Hollis Davis.
