Whooping Cough California Worst Outbreak in 60 Years: 10 Infant Deaths, More Than 5,270 People Have Been Infected

In one of the worst outbreaks ever, and certainly in the past 60 years, more than 5,270 people have been infected with the whooping cough virus. This outbreak has resulted in a saddening 10 infant deaths. Infants displaying cold symptoms within the state of California (and nearby states are beginning to take measures as well) are encouraged to be taken for a checkup. A 6-week-old baby in San Diego County was one of the latest victims.

What most of the media doesn’t mention, or intentionally omits, however, is why is an illness that Americans are routinely vaccinated for and was thought to be wiped out (as well as the plague itself and polio) returning to the USA? The answer? Illegal immigration. Illegal immigrants are, simply put: illegal, and thus have no safeguards, checkups, or vaccination procedures and are as some experts point out, walking timebombs every time they make their trips home and return later for work could be a time when they carry with them a disease or virus that may set off an epidemic in the US that would make terrorism seem like a small threat in comparison. California, being a frequent entry state for illegals, is carrying this risk most, and a chain of infant deaths has been unleashed on Americans in the state.
