Virginia Thomas Left Anita Hill Voicemail -- Clarence Thomas’ Confirmation Hearings Supreme Court 1991 -- Education Department & EEOC
Virginia Thomas, the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas appealed to Anita Hill, who charged that her husband sexually harassed her, to apologize, as she left Anita Hill a voicemail with such a message. Anita Hill responded, saying she had “no intention of apologizing”, even after all these years, and despite the two former co-workers remaining on the same side of the aisle politically, the air between the two remains chilled.
Clarence Thomas and Anita Hill worked together at the Department of Education & EEOC and during Clarence Thomas’ Confirmation Hearings for the Supreme Court position in 1991, she aired out her accusations.
