Twiggy is perhaps best known as either a model or a fervent supporter of breast cancer research, animal welfare, and a face of many anti-fur campaigns. She was named “The Face of ‘66″ by the Daily Express, when she was only 17. During the Twiggy modeling career of 1965-1970, she became quite possibly the first famous teenage model. Twiggy started modeling at the young age of 16. Twiggy hosted her own TV show, Twiggy’s People and more recently, she was a judge on America’s Next Top Model. She wrote a 1998 autobiography, Twiggy in Black and White, which became a bestseller.
