Telling Truth? You’re FIRED! Juan Williams & Fox New Contract: $2 Million. Murfreesboro Mosque & Justice Department: Islam = Religion

Juan Williams, a traditionally left-of-center commentator with a history of defending civil rights, was on the Fox network talking about how political correctness was stifling free speech in the United States, for his remarks he was fired. To give an example, Juan Williams spoke of his personal fears (never saying they were correct, but merely that he had them) and in return for telling the truth of his personal feelings, he was fired by a government-funded agency. The NPR, originally stood by their firing. But when Glenn Beck pointed out NPR connections to a financiers who opposes Fox, and the fact that the NPR receives public funding from the government (which protects free speech), NPR seems to have reversed course on the tone with which they did it.

“I stand by my decision to end NPR’s relationship with Juan, but deeply regret the way I handled and explained it.” said NPR CEO Vivian Schiller. This is even more troubling perhaps, as it belies that the CEO regrets not lying or stating it in a different manner. She immediately refers that NPR analysts are not allowed to make opinions, but Juan was not acting as a NPR analyst at the time, only a Fox contributor. Likewise opinions made by left-wing journalists are left unpunished.

The reason may be simple enough: NPR just recieved $1.8 million from the left wing billionaire George Soros, who recently said we needed a “New World Order” and “managed decline” of the US dollar (video above).
