Stockholm is honored to get a tag of European Green Capital in year 2010. This award had been given to the city by the EU Commission in order to improve the living environment in the urban areas. The mission of EU Commission is to give European Green Capital award each year to one city and this is how that awarded city will become an example for the other cities to improve their living environment by sharing improvement ideas and experiences.
