Stephen Hawking: 2009 Presidential Medal of Freedom

It is recent news that Stephen Hawking is received by the honor today as he was rewarded wit the award of National Medal of Freedom by US President Barack Obama at the White House. He was one of the 16 recipients of the medal for the agent of change.

This award was won by few scientists only earlier as it is the highest civilian award in the USA. The scientists are awarded with this medal from their contribution in discovering the black hole theory of physics in an eminent manner.

Since Stephen Hawking is not a scientist but his wheel chair figure of bound recently became a matter for making him the recipient of this award. He is now suffering from the problem of neuron disease and therefore he creates a spirit of living for other people in the way he is living his life.

Hawking contribution plays a vital role in the development of science. The citation of Hawking concludes that his dedication has unlocked some way for the inspiration of citizen to live a bold life in an efficient way. Obama honored him for his brave effort in creating a huge human spirit for the contribution of science.
