One second-grader was kicked out of school for the day when the teacher didn’t take kindly to his crucifix drawing.

The boy from Massachusetts, drew a picture of a man on a cross, which he labeled as himself, but it wasn’t clear if it was supposed to be himself or Jesus, or both. The teacher apparently was alarmed, also that the boy drew Jesus with an X for each eye, although this seems natural given that Jesus did die on the cross.

The father says he suspects racism is involved. Hard to know what to make of it. Seems a bit unnecessary though, for the poor kid!
