Russian Army Shoot Snow
The Russian military used artillery shells by the army to shoot down snow, causing an avalanche. It’s a technique used to prevent the weather from blocking important roads and train tracks.
It’s been said that creating controlled avalanches with the blasts is the best way of preventing unwanted ones cutting off vital transport routes.
For the past couple of weeks, the army has been targeting the snow on the only route between Russia and Ossetia, in the only way they know how, with some pretty big guns.
This video shows a group of Russian soldiers in North Ossetia creating the controlled avalanche. They then freely walk to their vehicles as tons of snow barrels down towards them. The funny thing about it, they walk slowly as if they’re bored.
