Did the Pope fall asleep in church?

That is how some people are interpreting footage from a mass this week in Malta, here Pope Benedict was seen apparently nodding off until he was poked and awakened by the man next to him. That man was Guido Marini, whose official title in the Vatican and Catholic Church is Master of Pontifical Liturgical Celebrations.

Pope Benedict and church leadership have been mired in a great deal of controversy over allegedly helping to protect and cover up for priests who had been accused of abusing children. I guess this shows that the Pope doesn’t really care about the cover up, and is another victim of the dullness of Catholicism.
