North Korea Alert News

North Korea went on combat alert after seeing South Korea perform the annual military drills.

The U.S. and South Korea say the 11 days of drills are purely defensive and pose no threat to the North Koreans. Kim Jong Il doesn’t buy it and has state he will blow up the U.S. and their southern neighbor if it comes down to it. He also told his troops that they would “mercilessly crush the aggressors” should they encroach upon the North’s territory even slightly the Korean Central News Agency reported.

This all seem to be puffery by the North Korean dictator, “appear strong when you are weak” -- Sun Tzu’s Art of War. Most military strategists know that the South would easily repulse an invading army and even has the power to take over the North, if it should come to war.

So sit back in your chair and relax, there isn’t going to be a war anytime soon between the North and South. The North acts tough to control it’s people and the South would never dare be the first to attack because it sees no purpose and the U.S. doesn’t want to go through the Korean War all over again.
