National Sleep Awareness Week Coincides With the Start of Daylight Savings Time
It’s finally happened. The National Sleep Awareness Week, designed to help inform Americans about sleep and how important it is to health, coincides with daylight savings time. The significance? Because of daylight savings time this March, when Americans will “spring forward” jumping clocks forward one hour, many Americans will lose an hour of sleep. The first event of ‘Sleep Week’, is the National Sleep Foundation Annual Awards Dinner, which announces awards to recognize scientists who have made great contributions to the science studying sleep.
