Former sportscaster Marvell Scott pleads not guilty to charges that he raped a 14-year-old girl.

The girl was allegedly working as a prostitute in New York.

The appalling (if true) case involves Marvell allegedly approaching a pimp in Times Square, which I didn’t realize was even possible anymore, and arranging with him to take two underage girls to his apartment where he violated the younger of the two.

Marvell Scott’s attorney says he is completely innocent, and that the whole case is a “ruse.”

Up until recently Marvell Scott was a sportscaster for WABC Tv, the local ABC affiliate that airs on channel 7.

He is also trained as a doctor and worked in Haiti helping the earthquake victims by providing medical help.
