Larry Stewart Made His Fortune in Cable Television and Long-Distance Service

Larry Stewart, remembered as the Secret Santa for his tradition of giving out money to strangers, made a fortune in Long-distance phone service and cable television, and went on to give over a million dollars of that money to folks he met on the street, earning him his secret Santa nickname.

Two years ago Stewart passed away unexpectedly at the age of 58, but will be long remembered for his generosity that captured the true spirit of this holiday season. He started his tradition in 1979 of giving money to strangers, and continued until his passing. Hopefully others will remember him by continuing the tradition!
