Keep Marriage Exciting

Exciting is a good thing for a marriage to keep. People love to remember that stimulating, freeing feeling they got when they first met and dated their husband or wife. It is something that should be rekindled whenever possible.

Keeping a marriage live and exciting is a must if you are going to make it last.

The foundation of excitement is intimacy and fun, so I am going to begin my list with those two. However, this is not the end of the list. There is so much more you can do to enjoy your marriage partner and have exciting times with them.

Intimacy - The intimacy comes from trust. You are able to drop all your mask and boundaries with your partner in complete trust they are going to do what is best for you. This is what allows you to fully open up to a person. Intimacy is critical because it sets the stage for fun.

Fun - Fun is all about enjoying the moment. Not worrying about who is watching, what people are going to think, or not even care what you think about them. You are just in the moment enjoying the excitement around you.

More than likely, this excitement is going to come from your marriage partner. Enjoying each moment with them wrapped in intimacy. These things set the stage for activities, dates, engagement….excitement.

Regular Dates – Yes, you should spice things up a big and have some surprises, but regular dates can be exciting as well. All week, the build up to the date is happening and it is exciting. You know you have a date on this date each month, each week or whatever your schedule is.

Your heart gets to pumping as you wonder what you two are going to do on this day. My suggestion would be to alternate who makes the plans. This way there is an element of the unknown involved, but the focus should be on the moment, having fun, and enjoying the intimacy you two have created.

A Joint Interest - There is nothing like getting involved in something together. This could be taking a class together, volunteering at an organization, or taking in the art sector of your city. Get involved in a joint interest together. Make it something fun and expanding for the two of you.

This list could go on forever to be honest. There are so many opportunities to keep the relationship fresh, open and honest, but they all begin with intimacy and fun.
