Kalamandalam Hemaletha Guinness Record
Kalamandalam Hemaletha, a 37-Year-old woman, danced a native Indian dance called as Mohiniyattam for 123 hours and 15 minutes at Thrissur, in southern Kerala in India. This set a new Guinness record.
Hemaletha put a continuous hard labor and dedication to get this achievement. She practiced for 10 hours a day and even ran 28 miles in order to strengthen her body. In her own words, she practiced so much to get recognition for the Mohiniyattam dance on a global level.
Hemaletha’s milestone dance was recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records on Thursday. She also received a certificate from the organization.
