A dog in New Mexico limped in to the local hospital ER after getting injured in the neighborhood, somehow knowing the hospital was the place to go.

The dog was taken to a local animal shelter, and eventually reclaimed by its owner.

The veterinarian stitched him up, and said he was probably attacked by another dog.

Hospital staff say the dog was calm and friendly, and very smart to come there for help even though they couldn’t really treat him there.

They say dogs don’t like the smell of disinfectant from Hospitals, but that means it is most likely a smell they can remember.
