It turns out Hitler ‘had Jewish and African roots’, some DNA tests show. Already this has spurred dozens of viral videos about Hitler being Jewish and African, such as the one above. Not just any tests, these DNA tests were conducted by Jean-Paul Mulders who tested 39 relatives of the Fuhrer. He discovered they shared the Haplogroup E1b1b1. This Haplogroup comes from the Berbers of Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia, or from the Ashkenazi and Sephardic Jews. When you add it together with previous rumors that his father Alois was the illegitimate son of a Jewish man, with rumors ranging from the conspiratorial theories about the Rothschilds to the tabloid theories about a man named Frankenberger, it seems quite likely that Hitler had Jewish ancestry.

As far as tabloid reports about Hitler and his “African roots”, these can be discredited. If by African, they mean his possible Moroccan and Algerian roots, these could be described as Berber or North African Arab roots, moreso than the simple “African” roots description which seems to imply Negroid ancestry. More research remains to done before Hitler DNA tests can show whether or not Hitler indeed had Jewish and African roots as claimed.
