Al Gore will not be attending Chelsea Clinton’s wedding.

The wedding is on July 31st, and it will take place in upstate Rhinebeck at Astor Courts.

“The Gores are not attending the wedding,” The New York Daily News quoted family spokeswoman Kalee Kreider as saying.

“They both wish Chelsea well, believe she is a wonderful young woman, and they share in the family’s excitement,” she added.

This may be the best situation for both parties involved considering the recent  headlines and controversy involving Gore.
