A Germany Dog(Rhodesian Ridgeback) has given birth to 17 puppies and it is no less than a miracle that all of them have survived.

A German dog named ‘Etana’ which belongs to a breed known as ‘Rhodesian Ridgeback’ has given birth to 17 puppies, 8 female and 9 male on September 28 near Berlin.She is 4 years old and this is her first delivery.

Normally, dogs give birth to 7-8 puppies at a time but this one here has managed to give birth to a whopping 17 at once.Though it is a lot of puppies, it is nowhere near the record for giving the most number of puppies which is — 24, given by a Mastiff in Britain, however 4 died.

Owner of the dog’s, Ramona Wegemann claimed ‘All these pups were born naturally, no cesarean was necessary’.A bit of trivia for you, ‘Cesarean’ is a chemical given to animals in order to increase their litter.She has to feed all these 17 puppies by bottle since their mother cannot feed them all by herself
