German Historical Museum Bronze Hitler Busts, Red Paper Lantern with a Swastika, Tiny Toy Model of the Fuehrer
A controversial exhibit has opened in Berlin: one of the Fuehrer himself! Traditionally in the past half century, Germany has banned swastikas and talk of the Nazi past is relatively taboo, especially any regarding the charisma of the leader. Not now, the swastika, which is actually banned in Germany, will be shown in Germany. Why the contradiction? The law allows for a vague “scientific context” argument to show the Swastika in, for example, a holocaust museum. Some of the main items on exhibit in the German Historical Museum are the bronze Hitler busts and a red paper lantern with a swastika, and a tiny toy model of the Fuehrer .
