First 9 Months 2010 Tie 1998 Record & Los Angeles’ hottest day: 113 degrees – Sept. 27
First 9 Months 2010 Tie 1998 Record. Los Angeles’ hottest day also occured in 2010: 113 degrees – Sept. 27
Stories have abounded recently, last month that the first 8 months “tied” for the hottest year ever, then this month 9 months “tied”. That does of course involve rounding the numbers as it’s impossible to perfectly tie. In the wake of much talk of “Climate Change” (previously called “weather”) Many people forget the historic snowstorm Of 2010 (featured above), and focus on the heat, but went it gets record cold, they also mention that as a cause of anthropogenic global warming, aka “climate change”.
On a side note, nobody has yet proven how cars taking in fuel, and emitting CO2 is any different from the way humans (or animals) eat food “fuel” and emit CO2 from their mouths. Many plants also emit more CO2 than they remove. In warmer years, there is generally more CO2-breathing life on earth because previous inhospitable tundra becomes farmable land and plants grow in previously unlivable areas. The Renaissance occurred when the Medieval Warming Period heated Europe and created a booming harvest, allowing farmers to give surplus crops that were used to pay artists and thinkers to use their creative talents instead of focusing on subsistence.
