The Food and Drug Administration i.e. FDA on Wednesday recently give an approval for the first new drug for the treatment of lupus in more than 50years. According to the experts of the FDA this new drugs for curing lupus will be prompting on the development of other sorts of drugs which are quite effective for the treatment of any sorts of disorder in the immune system.
This newly designed drug is mostly known as Benylsta which is actually an inject able drug designed for the purpose of relieving the huge pain arises from the lupus. In fact lupus is an ailment in which the body is attacked by their own tissue as well as organs.
Biotech drug maker Human Genome Sciences Inc. spent more than 15 years in the development of Benlysta and they will go to co market it with GlaxoSmithKline PLC. According to the estimation of the companies around 200000lupus patient of the US states are benefitted by the use of this drug.
But experts also stress that this drug is not a miracle drug as it only worked for 35 percent on the North American patients. Also this drug does not give positive results in African region of America.
