Betty Lichtenstein, who organized a dinner party to show that she has been awarded with the honor of  “Nurse of the Year” finally, ends up in prison.  The 57year old woman who was practicing nursing without any license has been imprisoned for a 9 months sentence.

Lichtenstein was working as an employee with Dr. Gerald Weiss in 2009, who complained to the health department against the nurse on her unprofessional behavior. However the investigation found that Lichtenstein had never acquired any license for nursing.

Dr. Weiss believed Lichtenstein was a genuinely registered nurse as she had boasted about winning “Nurse of the Year” award given to her by the “Connecticut Nursing Association” in 2008. However there was no such association found in reality after investigation.

Betty Lichtenstein had spent $2000 for organizing the dinner to celebrating winning the award. She is now in jail for the charges of forgery and injecting patients with medicines without license.
