Dan Kerrigan was a lucky guy when he won a scratch-off jackpot. He is the late father of Nancy Kerrigan and before he passed away he had a good measure of luck.

After scratching off the scratch card at his local grocery store near his home, Kerrigan won $20 and decided to try his luck again. this time he couldn’t believe his eyes, and asked the store owner to help. He says “I said to the owner, Chuck Savas, ‘Come over here. Take a look at this and see if I’m senile’ ” And sure enough, Dan Kerrigan had become a million dollar winner!

Apparently according to friends Dan Kerrigan had been going for the scratch off jackpot all the time, as his wife said he has had an awful lot of practice at scratching tickets, I found out. After he won, people would say, ‘Nobody deserves it more than him. Every time I saw him, he was scratching a ticket.’
