A new study purports that the color of the Alcohol you drink actually can determine the severity of your hangover. Over in Providence, Rhode Island, researchers at the Brown University Center for Alcohol and Addiction Studies discovered the fact that alcohols with more congeners create worse hangover symptoms. Congeners are complex organic molecules that give alcohol their color, taste, and smell. The rule of thumb here is that the lighter the color, the less of a hangover you will receive. Darker alcohol will produce a greater hangover.
