College Age Males Gambling: 16 percent! 530,000 High School Aged.

A new study shows a shocking new trend: College age males and online gambling. Just a mere two years ago, the number was a tiny 4.4 percent of college age males. Now the number has risen to a sobering 16 percent. In the recession, perhaps desperate college students have turned to the lure of gambling’s promised profits and lost fortunes, devastating their lives and future finances as students. Perhaps an even more astounding number? Over 530,000 High School aged students are also gambling online as well. The study has found that 1.7 million college age males gamble at least once a month, and over 400,000 are gambling once a week or more. As for the fairer sex (women)? A study has found over 1.5 percent of females in high school students are gambling.
