CIA and Bay of Pigs Invasion

CIA and Bay of Pigs Invasion

The bay of pig invasion was planned in 1960 with the encouragement of US government. Dwight D. Eisenhower was the president of US at that time. The man approved a document in which the desire for replacing the Castro regime was outlined. CIA had the chief involvement in all this plan and attack. Even the invading force was trained by CIA. The outline of the document was designed and arranged by Richard Mervin Bissell who was the Deputy Director for Plan in CIA. He organized the outline plan under the supervision of Allen Dulles who was the CIA Director at that time. The code name of the plan was operation Pluto. The director of CIA was confident enough about the success of their plan. CIA and the force were very hopeful that they would easily bring down the Cuban government of Fidel Castro but ironically got defeated by the Cuban Arm forces.
