Chernobyl April 26, 1986

April 26 1986 was merely a black day for Soviet Union as on that day, Soviet engineers completely unable to control the reaction took place at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. In that leakage of uncontrolled radiation many of the people dies while the real victim of that disaster is not present till yet.

The main cause of the disaster occurred on Chernobyl nuclear power plant was that all the power emergency system along with safety system of power plant was closed and stops working for the purpose of safety test on 25 April 1986. All the fission reaction was stop due to the shutdown of power emergency system which results in the withdrawal of the control rods available in the core of the nuclear reactor. Engineers use to operate this reactor with only seven percent power.

After this on 1:23 am a huge power excursion along with sudden rise in the power level is noticed by the engineers on the fourth reactor which results in a escaping of all the hydrogen into the air with a steamed explosion. The hydrogen of reactor mixes with oxygen triggers a massive chemical explosion. In this way the Chernobyl nuclear power suffers from the destruction.
