Burglars Mistake Cremated Ashes for Cocaine

Burglars Mistake Cremated Ashes for Cocaine

The famed “ash snorting” burglars: Jose David Diaz Marrero and Waldo Soroa, aged 19, as well as Matrix Andaluz, age 18, were arrested in Silver Springs Shores, Florida on December 15th on charges of burglary and grand theft. A separate arrest of five teens helped police form a picture of the burglary that included the burglars confusing cremated ashes for cocaine. They were not arrested for that mistake since ashes are not drugs, but a police report states the burglars believed they had made a mistake and confused the ashes for cocaine.

In reality, instead of cocaine, they were allegedly snorting a WW2 paratrooper and hero as well as two family dogs’ ashes. The sheriff’s report stated that “the suspects snorted some of the ashes believing they were snorting cocaine”. After finding out that it was not cocaine and realizing their mistake the burglars wanted to return the cremated ashes.
