Gordon Lightfoot Hoax

Gordon Lightfoot hoax made fans believe the folk legend had died. The singer went on the radio and announced he was alive.

Gordon Lightfoot was a victim of a hoax this week. The legendary folk singer was part of a rumor on the Internet that he had died. However, people believed this rumor and then heard him giving an interview at a radio station.

“I’m fine, everything is good. I don’t know where it comes from. It seems like a bit of a hoax or something.” Lightfoot said in a statement. “I was quite surprised to hear (it) myself.”

Lightfoot even made jokes about the rumor. When radio stations first learned that he died, they started playing all of his songs. He hasn’t had this much airplay in more than thirty years.

It was as if one day people were mourning the lost of a legend, only to find him living well the next dat. At first, radio listeners thought it was a recording of an old interview. However, they learned quick that he was indeed alive.

The latest hoax has brought more fame to the singer. Perhaps it will increase his next payment for royalties. It is great to know he is alive and well.
