X-Men & Matthew Vaughn
Kick-Ass director Matthew Vaughn is reportedly in talks to take over the helm of the next X-Men movie. Vaughn, who is married to model Claudia Schiffer, has resumed talks with 20th Century Fox about directing the next flick in the franchise’s origins series, X-Men: First Class, according to Variety.
Vaughn, 39, was previously in talks to direct the third movie, X-Men: The Last Stand, but it fell through as he did not want to relocate his family to Vancouver for filming.
His current flick Kick-Ass is about a nerdy teenager who decides he wants to become a superhero. Vaughn has previously directed movies such as Layer Cake and Stardust.
The next X-Men prequel will follow Professor Charles Xavier and Magneto as they open the school for mutants.
