Jaden Smith talks about his first onscreen kiss and the advice from his dad.

Will Smith told his son, Jaden, not to kiss in the Karate Kid movie with his mouth open. Jaden Smith said the kiss was interesting and a little bit weird.

“Our faces were like, this close, and we had to stay there so the shot was right. It’s kind of awkward,” Jade Smith said in a statement. “I’m good at kissing, so it wasn’t as challenging as it could’ve been had I not had previous experience.” Prior to even shooting the film, Jaden was trained for three months by Master Wu from Jackie Chan’s stunt team

Smith, 11, said that Jackie Chan and his dad are his biggest influences. “Jackie is really cool. Every time that he would come on set, he would say good morning in a different language.” Jaden also said that Chan would teach him how to do martial arts correctly.
