Johnny Depp is one of the most notoriously private celebrities, but this week he is making a rare TV appearance. Not to promote his new Alice in Wonderland movie, but to speak out on behalf of the West Memphis Three, who were convicted of murder on what many believe were bogus charges with flimsy evidence.

Many who have looked at the facts of the case believe these three men were innocent, and despite the hard evidence not proving their guilt they were convicted because prosecutors made then look evil by twisting around things like their love for heavy metal music and the occult, and even reading Stephen King books.
