Kate Winslet is making big news this week by going out in public for the first time without her wedding ring!

Winslet separated from her husband, famed director Sam Mendes, a little while ago, but had still been wearing her wedding ring up until now. This week though, when she stepped out a taxi can in New York City, she was photographed out on the town with no ring whatsoever.

She was also seen out with her daughter stepping into a car without the ring. Kate Winslet is a top actress for many years, best known for Titanic of course, but also for many other movies including Revolutionary Road, which co-starred Leonardo Dicaprio as her husband, and was directed by her real life husband Sam Mendes.

Mendes is a top Hollywood name in his own right ever since he directed American Beauty. So they seemed like a great match, but just recently somehow things went astray. There haven’t been any dramatic revelations like with Sandra Bullock and Jesse James, and they are said to still be on good terms, but still sad to see them possibly headed for divorce, and putting the wedding rings away.
